PAKISTAN'S LARGEST LAW FORUM | BY C&CA
LEGALIST, a Law Forum, Pakistan is a nationwide, non-political and independent legal forum established under the initiative of Chaudhry & Chaudhry Associates. The Forum aims to unite lawyers, law students, legal professionals, and individuals connected with the legal profession from across Pakistan on a single platform dedicated to the promotion of legal awareness, professional excellence, the Rule of Law, and the Supremacy of the Constitution and Law. LEGALIST believes that the legal fraternity is strongest when it stands together despite differences in opinions, schools of thought, or professional affiliations. The Forum welcomes members from every province, district, bar association, university, and legal institution throughout Pakistan.
Mission:
- Promote legal awareness among lawyers, students, and the general public.
- Advocate for Rule of Law and Supremacy of Law.
- Encourage professional unity within the legal fraternity.
- Create constructive dialogue among lawyers from every part of Pakistan.
- Encourage legal research, discussion, and policy recommendations.
- Promote ethical legal practice and professional development.
- Provide opportunities for networking, mentorship, and collaboration.
- Strengthen public confidence in the legal system through awareness and education.
Membership Eligibility:
Membership is open to individuals who satisfy one of the following criteria:
General Requirements:
- Must be a citizen of Pakistan.
Eligible Categories:
- Advocates – enrolled with any Bar Council or Bar Association in Pakistan;
- Law Students – enrolled in an HEC-recognized law degree program at a university or college recognized by the Pakistan Bar Council; or
- Legal Professionals – Individuals professionally engaged in the legal field, including but not limited to:
- Law firms;
- Corporate Legal Departments;
- Legal Consultants;
- Legal Researchers;
- Judicial Clerks;
- Legal Officers;
- Compliance Professionals;
- ADR Practitioners;
- Legal NGOs; or
- Government Legal Departments.
Core Objectives:
- Unite members of the legal profession across Pakistan.
- Reduce unnecessary divisions within the legal community by encouraging respectful dialogue.
- Provide a national platform for exchanging legal ideas and professional experiences.
- Facilitate discussions on legislation, judicial developments, constitutional matters, and legal reforms.
- Encourage publication of legal articles, opinions, research papers, and law reviews.
- Organize seminars, webinars, workshops, conferences, and awareness campaigns.
- Build future leadership within Pakistan’s legal profession.
- Promote legal education and community service initiatives.
Membership Process:
- Membership is free.
Applicants must:
- Complete the online Registration Form.
- Submit the required Information and Supporting Documents.
- Accept the Forum’s Code of Conduct.
Note: Purpose of the above-mentioned regulations is just for record and safety of the Members.
Code of Conduct:
- Maintain professionalism and mutual respect.
- Avoid abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory language.
- Encourage constructive legal discussion.
- Respect differing legal opinions.
- Avoid spreading misinformation.
- Comply with applicable laws of Pakistan.
- Refrain from using the Forum for unlawful activities.
- Maintain confidentiality where legally or ethically required.
Repeated violations may result in suspension or termination of membership.
